What would you call this kind of...Post apocalyptic kind of art? Diesel punk was my best guess and wasn't very relevent.

I think Diesel punk is the correct term. Some other artists that address similar subjects (1900-1950s inspired fantasy/sci-fi) call it that and it seems to fit :)

I feel a story coming on.

These men are the 957th Rifle company of the territories of Mala and the last line of defense on the southern front. They hold the line with only cold steel and bravery against the war beast of the treacherous Domino republic.

They are the last line of defense and will hold the line against all odds and to the last man they will fight.

"For the people and for the princess!" -957th Rifle company battle cry

Yeah-it's a shame about that. There were some good ideas-killed by politics. For instance the guns were made to be short range to avoid antagonising the Germans. Not much of a deterant if you're worrying about annoying the enemy.

wow.... i am amazed this is awesome! hey and btw i came up with an idea of what they might be fighting against and names for each faction :) k first those gas-mask dudes could be like um.. Imperial Kingdom of Dune (just an idea) and a idea for the other faction.. The Democracy of Dune and theyr soldiers could be like armed rebels with um.. stolen technology and stuff :) all that was just an idea.

Thanks for the comment and the ideas:). As they don't have a name ,Dune would be cool (although it may remind people of sand worms etc).
'The grand imperial army of Dune'-sounds good.

These guys look like the Death Korps of Krieg regiment of the Imperial Guard.

Those were certainly an insperation. I just wish GW'd do plastic (non resin)death Korps (or something along the same lines).
Thanks for the comment:)

Since their re-releasing the imperialguard codex this year, they might do the death korps in plastic. I hope its soon because I need some for my guard regiment. Also they will be coming out with a plastic valkyrie! How cool is that?

Everyones been wanting great coat / gas mask guard in plastic forever. It doesn't seem like it's going to happen. It's a shame really . The quality of the new sculpts is excellent. It's just that the designs (of the catachans and cadians) are so bland.
Luckily there are plenty of good alternatives for guard. If you don't mind having a non GW event legal army then historicals are a good way to go. The recent plastic napolionics are very tempting. At about $25 for 50 infantry you can't go wrong. Add a few special weapons and other bitz and they should look pretty good ( I'll be modelling green stuff gas masks onto mine).

I'm gonna go for a pricey option; if they release plastic storm troopers (which I hope they do), I'm gonna take the heads, get some krieg grenadiers, take off their heads and gas masks and replace the heads. Same with the normal guardsmen. Good or bad idea?

You mean you're going to use Krieg heads to replace the regular guard and stormtrooper heads? If so why not just use the Krieg figures?
If you just want gasmask heads a lot of eople have been using a company called pig iron productions. this would be a lot cheaper ( but not tournament leagal-if you care about that).

No. I'm going to take the CADIAN heads from the storm troopers and use the KRIEG bodies.

Oh. Well I'd just use the Krieg ( I love the models though). It depends what you want really. If you're spending the money on krieg it seems strange to mutilate them -especially when they look really good already.
Oh well-I'll look forward to seeing the results of your work :)

Good question. I really have no idea at this stage. I should do an actual combat scene. Should I do another side with similar tech or something more bizzare ( monsters , aliens etc. . .)?
